Laser Tattoo Removal
What Is laser tattoo removal?
In laser tattoo removal, lasers breaks down the ink particles in the tattoo. The broken-down ink is then absorbed by the body, mimicking the natural fading that time or sun exposure would create.
During the treatment process the laser beam passes harmlessly through the skin, targeting only the ink resting in a liquid state within. While it is possible to see immediate results, in most cases the fading occurs gradually over the 4-6 weeks healing period between treatments.
The treatment is quick and painless. You will not need any type of anesthesia. When the laser light is applied, the tattoo will either disappear completely, or fades away. Each successive treatment will produce better results.
Laser treatment causes tattoo pigment particles to heat up and fragment into smaller pieces. These smaller pieces are then removed by normal body processes. Laser tattoo removal is a successful application of the theory of selective photo thermolysis (SPTL).
It can remove tattoo, nevus and pigmentation just under the skin’s surface.
